This is my first year at New Heights. I am a Special Education teacher, and work cooperatively with Mr. Lindstrom in math classes.
I am originally from Eagle River, WI. I received my bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in 1999. In 2001 I received my master’s degree in Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing Education from the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities. I have also completed coursework at the University of St. Thomas, and am currently working on my license to work with students who have Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities.
I began teaching in 2000 at Humboldt High School in St. Paul, where I worked with students with Cognitive Disabilities and Autism. I then worked at North High School in North St. Paul for 3 years with students with Learning Disabilities.
I am excited to be a part of New Heights, and enjoy the small, community-like feel of the school.
