Jessica Kocon
Grades 3-4

A little about myself…

I began my educational journey in Milwaukee, WI attending Cardinal Stritch University where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and continued to take credits to receive my Special Education Certification. I moved to western Wisconsin in 2005 where I continued student teaching and earned my license. I then worked in Hudson, WI for two years, teaching students with Emotional and Behavioral Disabilities. Overall, I have had experience working with grades K – 8, in areas of general education and special education. Through these experiences, I have learned how to work through various classroom challenges and how to teach all types and levels of learners. I am happy to say that this will be my third year working at New Heights.

My favorite hobbies include: reading, crafting, photography, spending time with my husband and dogs as well as traveling.

I am looking forward to working with both new and veteran students this year. The elementary staff has worked hard to prepare a year that is filled with learning through activities and experiences. The staff and myself feel at home when we are at New Heights; we hope you and your family feel the same.

Let a new year begin!

Regards,
Mrs. Jessica Kocon
